NWC ARE SEEKING A RESEARCHER TO DEVELOP A TOOLKIT TO SUPPORT FAMILY
FRIENDLY AND INCLUSIVE LOCAL AUTHORITIES: MAKING THE ROLE OF LOCAL
COUNCILLOR SUSTAINABLE AND ATTRACTIVE.
Research will be carried out to examine the current issues for
councillors with caring and family responsibilities and inform
practical recommendations and guidance on how to address these
barriers in a toolkit. The research will invite and seek the views of
local councillors, local authority and other relevant stakeholders to
identify what supports and measures need to be put in place to ensure
entering and remaining in local political life is a realistic,
accessible option and choice for women in all their diversity.
